This fall Luke and I got to attend the Launch Scale conference. The conference is geared towards founders and helping early stage startups and small businesses scale. The conference had great speakers, it included successful entrepreneur, incredible founders, world class venture capitalists and many other famous figures from silicon valley.

In 2016 I attended San Diego Start Up week for the first time. At the time, I got free tickets since CourseKey was a part of the EvoNexus Incubator. Since then I have always wanted to speak in it. The conference is geared to help the local startups and grow the startup community in San Diego.

Getting money from investors is difficult! To make it a bit easier one must look at the investors' perspective and understand what they are seeking from their investment. Additionally, fundraising at the right time of the business life cycle always helps. Each stage of the company requires a different kind of an investor as they will be seeking different things out of the business.

Before jumping into 2019, I took a step back and did some self-reflection. As I took a deeper look into last year, I realized that 2018 has been one busy year. I ended up writing this because of how much has happened this year. As I was doing so, I realized I could just share it with everyone.
